What better way to introduce a blog than that, right? I’m stoked about TrishSkram.com, mainly because I really have no idea what this blog will EXACTLY entail. If you read the about me section above, you’ll see that I have several interests, must be in the public eye and love to be a part of something big. I’ll most likely write about PR, marketing, copywriting, Web 2.0, fashion, current events, news and my life. But to get us started, I’ve listed 5 fantabulous things that I think will help you learn about Trish Skram.

1. I studied abroad in Spain without knowing a lick of Spanish. Yup, sure did. By far the craziest, most defining moment for me. It changed my life to say the least. When you’re all alone in an unknown environment, trying to decipher which bus line to get on to get to school  … it’s amazing how much you’ll learn about your adaptability to that environment. Let’s just say you pick up the language quick.

2. I’m extremely driven to achieve success. And that’s not just career success. I consider a successful life, a life with possibilities, goals and aspirations. To me, a good life is one that is actually lived. If I’m happy, I try to prolong that happiness, or go above and beyond that feeling. If I’m sad or having feelings of depression, I change it. Sounds vague, but that’s just me.

3.  I have somewhat of a fanatic obsession with shoes and file folders. And I’m kind of an organized freak (I file my shoes too). There’s really nothing more to say about that one.

4. I go out of my way to make someone feel good about themselves. I watched a movie once that moved me to my core. Pay It Forward, have you heard of it? If not, I highly suggest you read the book or rent the movie. Anyone that believes in the goodness of people and stays determined to change the world for the better, even when the rest of the world is against them—that’s the person I want to be. I pay it forward by making people feel good.

5. I’m a family gal. I absolutely love my family and closest friends. I would do anything for them. My mom and dad are wonderful people who work hard every day, no matter the obstacles. My brother and sister are my favorite people to hang with—even if we go a few months without seeing one another, I know we’ll pick up where we left off. The love of my life, my Mr. Big, is also my biggest supporter and ultimate inspiration. Just the thought of him perks a smile.
